Job Duties
This position will be instructing in areas such as:
IIS administration and Web development using ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Studio
.NET
• Database administration, structures query language using SQL Server and Oracle
• Enterprise level Java including OOP theory and practice, JDBC, concurrency, and
networking
• Responsive Web design, bootstrap, JQuery, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Applied project management using PMP standards and agile methodologies
• SharePoint site administration, workflows, and customization
As a Business Information Systems Instructor, you will also provide knowledge and
skill development primarily on the fundamental principles of information systems and
business solution development. Your areas of responsibility would include, but not be
limited to:
1. Development of curriculum and training materials in accordance with leading
industry standards.
2. Instruction of theoretical material on-campus, online or by distance (print or
video).
3. Classroom/lab preparation and instruction of practical learning outcomes.
4. Evaluation of students.
5. Administration duties including but not limited to meetings, student counseling,
program inventories, etc.
6. Supervision, participation and/or evaluation of students in a practicum setting

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
  1. Related 4 year degree with major in computer science, or bachelor degree with a related computer science/information technology diploma, or two-year computer science/information technology diploma with five years (within the last seven) recent/relevant experience in the computer science/information technology field.
  2. Recent/relevant experience (2 years in the last 5) in the computer
  3. science/information technology field or an Information Technology Certified
  4. Professional (ITCP), or two year’s recent/relevant post-secondary instructional
  5. experience.
  6. Effective communication (both oral and written) skills.
  7. Effective interpersonal skills.
  8. Effective instructional ability.
  9. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
