Job Duties | The position is to assist in proceeding with the development of a provincial emergency nursing program. Future role of this position will include teaching, coaching and supervising students of the Emergency Nursing program in clinical or lab settings. 1. Facilitate program delivery by providing tutorial assistance, psychomotor skills labs and seminars in designated areas of Saskatchewan. Coordinate and support clinical experiences and revise curriculum as needed. Knowledge and/or experience in distance education would be an asset. 2. Manage the learning environment; provide student support and counselling so as to facilitate student success. 3. Evaluate and monitor student progress and provide feedback. 4. Facilitate effective and efficient program administration and maintenance. Monitor program effectiveness. 5. Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships. 6. Participate in the development of an Emergency Nursing Advanced Certificate Program for Saskatchewan Polytechnic. 7. Travel may be required. |

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) | 1. Master’s degree (applicants with a bachelor’s degree must be enrolled and actively participating in a Master’s program; completion within three years is a condition of employment) with at least one degree, either graduate or undergraduate in nursing. 2. Eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses’ Association. 3. Two years recent and relevant nursing experience in adult emergency nursing. 4. Knowledge and/or experience in the area of adult education with the ability to apply theory, practices and principles of adult education. 5. Knowledge and/or experience in distance education and interactive media software incorporating web technologies into curriculum. 6. 7. Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources. 8. Effective communication skills (written and oral). 9. Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving skills. 10. Effective instructional ability. 11. Demonstrates valuing diversity. |
