Job Duties
  1. Work with the WITT (Women in Trades and Technology) facilitator to coordinate and implement WITT programs.
  2. Provide instruction in programs as required.
  3. Build relationships with and deliver presentations to students, program heads, instructors, community partners, and school divisions.
  4. Provide campus WITT communications through media relations, social media etc.
  5. Provide appropriate documentation and follow-up reports.
  6. Provide guidance and advice to girls and women in respect to women in careers in trades or technology.
  7. Some travel required. Some evening and weekend work required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
  1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
  2. Completion of a journeyperson certificate in a recognized trade and/or recognized technology diploma or degree.
  3. Two years’ recent and relevant work experience (within the last five years).
  4. Familiarity with WITT philosophy and operations.
  5. Ability to work with girls and women in a structured/non-structured setting.
  6. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  7. Effective instructional ability.
  8. Effective interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  9. Training and/or experience in the use of common software packages, i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  10. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
