Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)
Job Duties | 1. To provide instruction in the skill and knowledge for Manufacturing. 2. Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations for education purposes. 3. Evaluate students through the use of exams, assignments and observations; and to record student progress. 4. Supervise students in classroom, shop, labs, and during tours. 5. Counsel students and prospective students on matters pertaining to the program and job opportunities. 6. Assist in/arrange for equipment maintenance within the program. 7. Assist in conducting and maintaining inventory, and in ordering supplies, equipment and books. 8. Attend, whenever possible, staff meetings, trade seminars, workshops, etc. to keep current with industry and educational requirements. 9. Practice good interpersonal skills and demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment. 10. Communicate orally and on paper, ideas and concepts in an accurate and concise manner. |

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) | 1. Journeyperson Certificate in the Machinist trade or Manufacturing/Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant training 2. Two years’ recent/relevant Manufacturing experience 3. Effective instructional ability. 4. Effective interpersonal skills. 5. Effective communication skills. 6. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology. 7. Ability to work as a team member in an ever-changing environment. 8. Ability to learn and apply new manufacturing processes and technologies, including working in a digital environment. 9. Expertise in the business side of manufacturing including project management, quality assurance, production flow, and supply chain management. 10. Demonstrates values diversity. |
