Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)

Job Duties

Job Duties
  1. Administration of exams including set-up of spaces and equipment and taking payments
  2. Supervise writing of high-stakes and other exams and reporting issues of academic misconduct
  3. Follow the protocol for exam security and integrity and candidate check-in as laid out in the manual and/or as per the specialized exam, including electronic monitoring equipment (Security camera system, NetSupport)
  4. Provide assistance to Assessment Leads and Test Centre Clerks in administrative work using technology, including data entry and utilization of Testing Systems (ex. Websites, LockDown browser, reading software, etc.)
  5. Maintain confidentiality and test security of exam takers 
  6. Maintain a test environment free from distractions
  7. Emotional intelligence in contributing to a welcoming environment for the students when writing exams in a high stress environment  
  8. Reading/Scribing for equity students 
  9. Participate in required training and follow-up for the invigilation of specialized exams (including occasional assessment)

  1. Grade 12 or equivalent 
  2. Customer Service and interpersonal skills, including a professional demeanor and ability to work with exam candidates comfortably without creating unnecessary pressure or unrealistic expectations
  3. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet, Zoom), data entry and keyboarding, and the capacity to learn specialized software
  4. Attention to detail and observation skills to recognize academic misconduct while invigilating small and large groups
  5. Demonstrated clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality 
  7. Effective organizational skills
  8. Ability to work in a team – creating successful working relationships with others
  9. Values diversity
